Rather than re-tracing our earlier drive along the Hāna Highway, we decided to continue on around the southern side of the island. This road was unpaved and rough in sections, but really a lot of fun! It had been closed due to rockslide for a year or so, but recently re-opened to traffic late last year. This is the banyan tree at Palapala Ho'omanu Church (or Kipahulu Church).
