The Temple of Athena Lindia on top of the Acropolis - finished in about 300 BC. It was “restored” during the Italian occupation of the island (1912-1945), using methods that modern archaeologists think were rushed and did more harm than good to the site. Greek archaeological teams are now working to protect and restore the ruins.
