The buildings lining the second courtyard today house many of the magnificent collections of porcelain, costumes, armor, and jewelery owned by the sultans. The jewelery were some of our favorite items, but no photographs were allowed. There were more emeralds, rubies, and other precious gems than one could count. Also, on display is the famous Spoonmaker's Diamond - an amazing 86 carat pear-shaped diamond.
